We arrived early in the moring and waited for a barge to come alongside.
One of the highlights of the day was watching the skillfull crew transfer huge containers destined for the Lockhart River community, from the ship into the barge, ‘Temple Bay. The barge rendezvoused with us in a bay some distance from the mainland. Our hearts were in our mouths as we watched what looked like a very tricky procedure, craning the heavy items out of the hold of Trinity Bay and across to the Barge, as both vessels were rolling in the waves. The crew were very skilful, I am sure, however I expected to see one of them ejected into the ocean at any moment.
